Thinking Bout Tomorrow Won’t Change How I Feel Today

Looking at my outfit posts, I seem like someone who wears loads of black and that isn’t normally the case. Maybe I’m just a little bored? Maybe I’m just a little boring?

And the sky is a hazy shade of winter

Yawn. It’s been unseasonable cold here, which has led me to have the conversation with myself that always occurs around November/December.
“Why the fuck am I still here?”
“Snow is bullshit, man. This blows.”
“Screw this, I’m getting on a plane tonight. I don’t care if I have to sell my body on the streets when I arrive in California.”

On the plus side, my rich plum lipstick suits the drab weather perfectly.

I do have one reason to smile- I finally got my hands on Lippmann’s Superstar nail polish. I stalked it for months and yes, it was worth the wait.

Please forgive my ragged cuticles.

The closest Chloe kitten comes to smiling. She usually just stares at me like she’s caught me doing something extremely naughty and she’s judging me like a minister’s wife.

A Unique Daybed

by a stylized hysteria on October 15, 2009

in Random

This has been sitting in my inspiration folder since I saw it on apartment therapy. It’s so bright and gorgeous, and the prettiest pieces in this picture are super cheap. The daybed is a wood pallet and the chandelier (if it should be called that) is tissue paper and inexpensive chinese lanterns.

Every time I look at this picture, I decide to make my living room look just like this. Then I realize that it wouldn’t fit in with my current decor, my cat would decimate the tissue paper before it even made it to the ceiling. By the way, once I clean my apartment, I plan to take pictures and share with everyone!
