I Felt Like a Winner!

On Thursday night, The Swapaholics hosted a swap in Downtown Crossing. After getting some really nice pieces from the previous swap, I was beyond excited to attend again! This time the swap was much smaller (200 people as compared to the 400 who went during Boston Fashion Week), the space was much bigger, and there were fitting rooms to try on the goods. I covered the swap for New Brahmin and went in early to get photos of the clothes before the carnage.

Look at everything, lined up and pretty!

I know what Chloe kitten is wearing for Halloween next year!

I also got shots of my favorite Boston bloggers.

That’s Punky aka Amy Chase and Melissa Massello, the founders of The Swapaholics. Chloe kitten has Amy to thank for her new outfit!

Stephanie of Pretty.Fashionable. is literally elated about her new jeans. I was making the same face about her teeny waist.

Julie O’Boyle of Orchard Grey and her man. It takes a lot of self-restraint to keep from stroking her hair whenever I see her. It’s amazing, right?

Holly from Covetous Creatures, Amy, Cassie from My Secret Boston, and Julie. Cassie graciously passed on a pair of awesome jeans to me after trying them on.

There’s Marissa from The Well-Appointed Catwalk, Becca from Free Honey, some weird chick in the middle, Katy from Modly Chic, and Stephanie. Becca and Marissa are officially my Boston fashion event buddies- they are always up for a fun night out and a drink or two! ♥

While I was photographing the goods, I spotted two Rodarte for Target dresses that I wanted but by the time I got in for the actual swap they were long gone. But don’t worry, I managed to get some cool things. Okay, I’m being modest- I am love with everything I brought home! I got a pair of Helmut Lang skinny jeans, a neon green Helmut Lang tee, a pair of Dolce Vita platform heels, a white Celine jacket, a white J.Crew safari shirt, and a few nice work shirts. Expect to see all my new goodies pop up in upcoming outfit posts!

Now, there is one more amazing piece I brought home. I loved it so much that I had to try it on at the swap. But that big reveal will come at a later date…

wowww, Najeema, you walked away with some amazing finds!!! Lucky!! I am sad to have missed out on this swap, but hopefully I can attend the next one. If you are free Saturday December 11th, I’m trying to gather some bloggers to go to the Santa & Stilettos fashion show/charity event at the Hyatt Regency. The $20 ticket price includes cocktails and appetizers.

Fun! I love swap kinds of things, but there are waaaaaaay too many morderns here whose thighs don’t touch. So I’m SOL with swapping.
