If I hadn’t made me, I would’ve been made somehow

This shirt has been sitting in my closet for months now. I kept telling myself that I was waiting for a special event to wear it. But this morning I realized I was breaking one of my few style rules, which is to not wait to wear something I love. Clothes should be worn and enjoyed, not relegated to your closet to wait for their moment to shine. So I threw it on, pinned the top for modesty’s sake (although, considering how dateless I’ve been lately, maybe I shouldn’t have), and added some casual jeans and sandals.

    Well, I’m glad that you were able to take this beautiful top out to wear. It’s very feminine and looks lovely on you! I decided to just create a place to wear my items … even if it’s to go to the grocer, haha! Otherwise, I probably wouldn’t wear most of them if I waited. Today, I wore “the good jewellery,” everyone kept asking me, “wow, where are you going Miss?” :-)

    I very much agree with that mantra…wear what you own, no matter what! =) I used to own so many items that I would only “save” for certain occasions and ever since I started to explore on my own…I did away with that concept and wear everything! =) just not all at once…lol

    I always used to do that…wait and ‘save’ something to wear later…I only just recently decided not to, and it feels so good. I love the top on you – mamas got nice earrings, too! On another note…that painting behind you is amazeballs!
