I want need would sell my liver for the perfect long black skirt. Something not quite Morticia Addams, but certainly not Age of Aquarius either. I’ve had my eye on this skirt from With Hearts in My Eyes on bonadrag.com for a looong time.

And I was just about ready to pull the trigger, until I saw the dress version. Um, schwing!

Low back, high front. Sooo pretty. I thought my dilemma had reached an apex, until I saw this dress from asos.com.

Pretty sweet too, right?? So what should I do? Please do not tell me to buy all unless you know the winning numbers for the lotto.

That skirt is gorgeous, but the long sleeve dress might be more functional b/c you can dress it up or down.

I love these pieces; they exude form and function, and can be dressed “up” or “down”.

A long skirt is a little more surprising than a long dress, so I’d go for the skirt.

If I’m getting it for myself, it’s going to be the skirt. But really it depends on which one you would get the most use out of. The ASOS one, I feel can make one look pudgy if not done properly. The model is definitely very skinny but even she looks slightly wide around the hips in that dress(second pic).
The dress version of the skirt looks really good! I would get that if I’m more of a night person. It’s more dramatic and with the long sleeve, low back, but there’s also less you can do to “casualise” it if you want to. It’s also more Morticia Addams than the skirt.
So, your call. I want to know which one you picked in the end though. I’m kinda nosey (:

damnit, you’re tempting me too…. I’ve been such a fan of the long, slinky thinks lately and I would really love to have a dress to add…

Wow. I’m sorry, I have to advise you to buy them all
and buy me them all too please. Ha, totally unhelpful comment. Okay, if I must choose, it’d be the asos dress – more versatile. (But still feel free to buy them all).
