Out with the Old, In with the New

I finally replaced one of my favorite pairs of shoes: my black ankle boots. It’s bittersweet because um, hi, they are awesome looking. However, they barely survived two years (and that includes multiple repairs). I feel like boots should last way longer than two years- am I asking too much (ahem, Jeffrey Campbell)?

However, the newest members to my show family are just as awesome looking, more comfortable, and were on sale at Shopbop. Pretty much haven’t stopped wearing them since I got them.

    I definitely think a good pair of real leather boots should last longer than 2 years!  Oh well, the Sam Edelman’s are cute.  I’m sure you will miss the cute buckles though. ;^)

    I love the new additions, I’m so excited to wear my new boots, finally the weather has been chilly and a nice autumn breeze.

    Your new boots are lovely!  I love the JC’s too, but it sucks that they weren’t able to last longer.  It’s definitely not too much to ask.  Ah well, at least you have a new pair to dote on :)

    In my opinion that is not at all asking too much. I haven’t bought any Jeffrey Campbell cause of issues I’ve heard about quality control.

    I LOVE your new boots and am sure you’ll get a lot of wear out of them. Keep me posted on the quality and how they hold up cause I might SWF you and get them.

    Love the buckles on the old ones, but I like the new ones, too! And I hear you on boots – I take really good care of mine and they still look beat at the end of every winter. I guess that’s life in the Northeast?

    What’s your shoe size?  I have that first pair in gray sz. 8 in my headed-to-consignment bag.
