Shorts to work?

Yep, I’ve never worn shorts to work before. But I’m tired of my dresses, and it’s too hot for anything else. I did try to make it a bit more respectable by adding a white button down. Am I being too conservative? Do you wear shorts to work?

Excuse the brevity of this post. My brain is melting…

    Well, I think so long as you sit at a desk it should be fine. Like Elle above, I used to teach and although my students were all Japanese and respectful I don’t think I could put myself through that! But your shorts look reasonably long!

    i haven’t worn shorts to work yet, but lately i’ve been biking to work, so i wear some linen shorts and a big tee, and bring a change of clothes. except that more and more, i’m tempted to just keep the shorts on and see if anyone says anything. if they do, i can use the biking excuse… haha. so now you’re making me really want to give it a go- you look great!

    so i have worn shorts to work, but to me they were work appropriate. i think these definitely fit the bill. mine were a high waisted pair. i tucked in a white button down (as is my custom), donned a pair of tights as it was early spring, and wore flats. i thought it was a pretty decent way to wear them and a nice alternative to the skirts/dresses/jeans rut that i had been caught in. this is lovely. :)

    Okay so I have to admit it, your blog is one of my guilty pleasures. As far as the shorts go, I do think I would ever try to pull of wearing shorts at work (I teach). However, one of my co-workers wears shorts that go to about her knee to work on occasions and gets away with it. She pairs it with a tee, a black vest and sandals.
