The Best

All the hoopla for Fashion Week/Month is wrapping up and fashion editors are deciding which shows were hits and which shows disappointed. Personally, I thought mostly everything was nice or good, but not breathtaking. Then…I saw Haider Ackermann’s collection. You know that feeling when the air rushes out of your body and your eyes grow wide and lust and excitement travels through your veins? Yeah. that.

I doubt this collection will be heralded as the best of the season and I can’t quite figure out what it is about this show that evokes such a strong reaction from me. But isn’t that the point of beauty and art and passion? It is everything but logic.

You like it and that is really all that matters at the end of the day. I personally never understand why some collections are so lauded and other passed by. There is just so much talent out there. This collection is beautiful. Soft with a little punk. Just what I like.

Gorgeous! I’ve ended up mostly ignoring the fashion week coverage because it’s become such a giant media machine. So I love reading blogs like yours where I get to see lines that don’t usually get highlighted. I love all the drapes and fabrics!

“But isn’t that the point of beauty and art and passion? It is everything but logic.” – Well said.

This collection is so very you! Personally, I love the black and grey one (and the leather vest).

I know that feeling.  I could totally use that leather vest/jacket thing in my closet.

I swear he is the king of draping. His designs always strike me. this collection is no exception.
