I wore this outfit Saturday night out with Becca of Free Honey and Marissa of The Well-Appointed Catwalk. We all laughed when we revealed that we had some dressing anxiety when it came to hanging out with other fashion bloggers. I will say, though, we were a very well-dressed bunch! I’m also proud to say that at one point I hustled them into the bathroom and demanded they try out the bright pink lipstick I brought. It looked great on them both. I love introducing my friends to things they haven’t tried out before. Another (2) ladies are no longer bright lipsticks virgins!

The skirt is another piece I got at the Swapaholics clothing swap. When I picked it up I assumed it would be too small, but the back is elasticized. Whew! It’s also very short, like way shorter that it looks in this picture. I rarely wear short skirts, and it was nice to do something a little different.

    i love the colors in this outfit- the lilac and bright orangey red. i actually have that dress too and have never worn it because it is so body-conscious. i love your idea of wearing it as a top- will have to SWF you. ~joelle

    I had so much fun with you girls on Saturday night, we need to do it again soon! And I liked having bright lipstick virginity taken so much that on Sunday while I was out and about shopping I ended up trying on some more crazy lipsticks! I didn’t buy any, I’m not ready to take the plunge for the expensive stuff. But you better believe the next time I’m at CVS I’m coming home with some bright lipstick.

    Need to listen to LCD Soundsystem now. And wear some bright lipstick. I am ashamed to say I bought some last year and STILL have not worn it. I am setting a goal to wear it out this weekend. Now to make some plans appropriate for bright lipstick.
